Provides additional health coverage for individuals receiving income support or living in special care facilities.

Benefit Amount

• Prescription drugs (e.g., insulin, diabetes meds, birth control)
• Medical supplies (e.g., ostomy, incontinence aids)
• Hearing aids and audiology services
• Emergency dental care
• Vision care (limited)

Plan types:

• Plan 1: Adults pay max $2 per prescription
• Plan 2: Free prescriptions for long-term drug users
• Plan 3: Free prescriptions for seniors in care homes

Eligibility Criteria

Must be enrolled in:

• SAID (Saskatchewan Assured Income for Disability)
• SIS (Saskatchewan Income Support)
• SEI (Saskatchewan Employment Incentive)
• Seniors in special care facilities

Application Process

• Automatic enrollment if you qualify for the above programs
• Ministry of Health sends a confirmation letter
