Eligibility Criteria
Must be eligible for the DTC and have working income below set thresholds.
Application Process
- Ensure DTC eligibility: You must be approved for the Disability Tax Credit.
- File your tax return: Use Schedule 6 to claim the CWB and indicate eligibility for the disability supplement.
- Include Form T2201 (if not already on file with CRA).
- CRA processes your return and issues the benefit as part of your tax refund.

Appeals Process
- File a Notice of Objection with the CRA within 90 days of the notice of assessment.
- Use CRA’s My Account or submit a written objection explaining why you disagree.
- If unresolved, you may appeal to the Tax Court of Canada.
- You can request an extension if you miss the 90-day deadline, but it must be within a year.
